Sharing a bridal session on the blog always feels like a little treat because I have to keep them under lock and key for so long! When my brides opt for a bridal session (and many of them do – they’re so special to get to do!) we plan the session to land about 4-8 weeks before the wedding, depending on dress alterations. Essentially, as soon as the dress is ready, we can shoot! The perfect ingredients for a bridal session are a lovely location (venues are my favorite spots due to pretty indoor and outdoor options), a hair and make up trial (to make sure you love your bridal look) a trial bouquet, and a bride who brings her mom and/or a few friends to make it an even more joyful experience.
For her Canyonwood Ridge bridal session, Alexiz brought along her sweet momma and oh the fun we had. I kept telling her, oh just one more here, one more there, because I was just so inspired by her look, her joy, the setting, the weather, and all the leaves on the ground! That sounds like a weird thing to draw inspiration from, but noticing little things like that during sessions always brings me more into the moment. I love the images of her dress and bouquet with those little tiny oak leaves in the background.
Alexiz, you are so dear to me! I simply gushed about her and Phillip on their wedding blog post, so you’ll have to hop over here to read why I love them so much, beside the obvious (from what you’ll gather in this blog post), which is that she is a stunning person inside and out!
