That is the beauty of lifestyle newborn sessions. Your baby will keep growing and learning, but those first few weeks will be frozen in time - and your memory - for the rest of your life. All the snuggles. Cozy mornings in bed. Tiny hands and feet. All wrapped up in artful images you'll treasure forever.
You can't stop time, but you can freeze it.
My newborn sessions are a little different. My goal is to capture the way it feels to be a parent of a newborn, so when you look back at these photos, it feels like you're right back in that time. So I document things in a way that is very organic and real. The cozy moments in soft light. The warm snuggles all throughout the day. The whole family - dogs included - just doing what they do in your home.

Life is complicated enough with adding a new baby to the mix. S let's not overcomplicate the photo session. My newborn sessions are easy breezy with everything you need, including a very loose session time to avoid the stress of "we have to get it all done in an hour and baby needs a break!"

Session fees vary by your session type, but on average, hour long portrait sessions begin at $600. All session fees include shooting time, images, and an online gallery.

Investment
Unless you've modeled professionally, you're probably going to feel awkward in front of the camera. As the session goes on and I coach you through images, I think you'll find that being photographed can actually be fun. And don't worry about your kids. We always get what we need and I'm not above bribery!

What if we're awkward and my kids don't sit still?

The sooner the better! My calendar tends to fill up pretty quickly - especially during the spring and fall, so the sooner you reach out, the more likely you are to get your desired date!
To reserve your date, I'll need a contract as well as a deposit. And if something comes up and you need to change your date, just let me know!

How far in advance should we book?

Nothing! Newborn sessions are shot indoors mostly, so if it's raining on your session day (unless it's a really bad storm) we should be fine. I just need one or two rooms in your home with great windows to get what we need!
