Abbey & Philip

About The Couple

To know Abbey and Philip is to love Abbey and Philip! They are truly the best. If you’d like a little snap shot into how lovely they are, then you have to go and take a quick peek at their fun, adventurous engagement session at Perdenales State Park. Plus they have a super cute story. What’s fun is that they, like me and my husband, worked at a summer camp together. Kenton and I spent a good portion of our early years of marriage working at a summer camp, so when I met with them for the first time and listened to their summer camp romance, I knew instantly we’d be a great match! Abbey and Philip are  the most genuine, joyful, Jesus loving people and their wedding day was such a celebration!!

Addison Grove Austin Wedding

Abbey and Philip’s Addison Grove Austin wedding was a fun, summer affair. Abbey, being the artist that she is, had a unique eye for the design and theme of the wedding. For colors, she was inspired by a summer sunset, and chose blush pink, tangerine orange, pale yellows, nude and white as her colors. Her bridesmaid dresses were a cascade of pinks and neutrals, which added a playful, sweet element to the day. Her florals by Native Bloom Floral were a perfect ode to a summer wedding featuring all sunset colors. I also just have to give a shout out to Abbey’s beauty team, Wander Weddings, because her updo was one of the coolest and most unique I’d ever seen. The whole day was so fun and full of joy. Everything went so smoothly and looked amazing, much to the credit of Jennifer of Alter Ego Weddings. I think one of my favorite moments of the whole day was their perfect end of the aisle kiss! It was so cute. I also have to mention Abbey and Philip’s first touch and prayer before the ceremony. They decided not to do a first look, but instead read notes to one another. That was such a tender moment, made even more sweet by the faces of their loved ones peeking through windows to watch! Another star of the show was Abbey’s suuuuper cute nephew. He smiled all the way down the aisle and one of my favorite photos of the day is a moment Abbey and Philip helped him smell her bouquet. It was beyond sweet.

Congrats A & P!

Abbey and Philip, I could literally shoot your day over and over again. From your blush details to portraits with longhorns to your super cute vintage car send off, it was the best day! Thank you so much for having me along for the ride!
