Why I Offer Photography Lessons

I. Love. Photography. That is probably obvious, but I really really love it. I remember when I first started though, I was so overcome with imposter syndrome, fear of what others thought, and the comparison game. It’s really tough to get past those feelings when you’re trying to do something creative like photography because there are so many great photographers out there. That’s why I am offering photography lessons! Because — truly — if I can do this, so can you!

Maybe you struggle with manual mode and camera settings.

Perhaps you struggle with lighting.

It could be that composition is your kryptonite.

Or maybe you just need someone to talk to to work through some issues you’re having in the photo journey!

Here’s the deal: if I had taken the time and money to invest in help earlier in my career as a photographer, it would have been a game changer. But I was just too scared to reach out to anyone! I hate for anyone else to feel that way, so this is your open invitation to reach out to me for help! Anywhere you are in the process is acceptable. I would love love love to encourage you and give you any stepping stones I can to keep rocking away at your photo journey.

Photography Lessons

My photography lessons are simple and there are two options: in person or over Zoom. Either can focus on what you need, but the in person option is probably best for the photographer who wants hands on help with shooting methods and camera settings. The Zoom option is great for hashing out editing, behind the scenes business topics, talking about gear (I shoot with Canon and love it), etc.

So if any of this resonates with you and you’d love to get some help in your photo journey, reach out! There is no reason for you to be stuck in any of the yucky things I mentioned at the beginning of this blog post. Remember, if I can do this, so can you. It’s a journey, and I’d love to help guide you on your way!
