Katelyn and Mike wanted their wedding at The Vineyards at Chappel Hill to be a fun, classic celebration with their closest family and friends! As a result, their day was seamless and celebratory. They structured their timeline in order to prioritize time with their friends and also have plenty of space for portraits. They picked a crisp and classy color palette of neutrals paired with black and white. As such, the day really shines. There were so many fun and special moments from this crisp, November day in Austin, and all of their guests had a delightful time celebrating this super kind, fun couple!

Because Katelyn and Mike love their dog Taz, she got quite a spotlight all day long! Taz was by Katelyn’s side during her entire getting ready prep, but she also had cameos during the bridal party photos and she even got to play ring bearer for the ceremony. Taz took her job very seriously and did it perfectly!

Vineyards at Chappel Hill Wedding Details

A special element of this day is how Katelyn incorporated her grandmother’s wedding dress. So to honor her legacy and remember her throughout the day, Katelyn created a beautiful display in the foyer of the venue. But another special detail from this day occurred right after the ceremony. (These are often my favorite moments on a wedding day because they’re so fun!) After Katelyn and Mike recessed up the aisle seconds after “I do,” the bridal party joined them under a canopy of oak tree branches. Then they danced and laughed and celebrated Katelyn and Mike with hugs and cheers. It was so special and joy-filled! Katelyn and Mike are just so loved by their community and it was so heart warming to see everyone love on them all day long.

After some sunset portraits in the most GORGEOUS light, the reception began with a sunny cocktail hour which seamlessly blended into Katelyn and Mike’s first dance which really showed off Katelyn’s gown! After some sweet toasts, the party began with colorful lighting and a dance party well into the evening. It was a night to remember for years to come!

The End

I enjoyed myself from start to finish on this day – it was seriously perfect. The weather was cool and refreshing and the fall light of November was so warm and colorful. Thank you for inviting me to be along for the ride K + M! I’d do it again and again!
