About Shannon + Ray

From the moment I met Shannon and Ray during our initial consultation, I knew they would be the most lovely, fun couple to work with for their wedding. When you picture a couple that is a fantastic team, a couple that is detail oriented yet also easy going, a couple that has people skills to boot, and a couple that loves each other so deeply — you’re picturing Shannon and Ray. They are literally the greatest couple ever. Spending time with them is so easy and energizing, and when we made things official last year, I knew their Addison Grove spring wedding was going to be one for the books!

So, the details. Shannon was all over them. What I love about Shannon is that she knew what she wanted from the absolute get-go. I mean, she had a mood-board for almost every idea, every creative nuance of the wedding day from the very start of our planning process. And what’s cool about these two is that they are also incredible craftsmen and designers. They made, completely themselves, the most amazing phone booth to serve as a guest book for their wedding day. Shannon herself did much of the crafting and when you see it below you will be so impressed with her workmanship skills!

But that is just one facet of this wedding day. The way the day flowed perfectly many thanks to Amanda with Ashley Nicole Affair. The soft florals with touches of blue. The BAND. When PDA takes the stage, get ready for a night of dancing and fun you’ll never forget. Every single guest had a ridiculous amount of fun. Everywhere I turned was something amazing I wanted to capture. I could have shot this reception all night. So many fun, hilarious moments.

And also, so many sweet ones. Shannon getting ready with her niece. The outdoor ceremony, with gorgeous sunlight shining through. How on the way to the ceremony guests were able to grab a Topo Chico, and on the way to cocktail hour they were able to grab a cocktail. The toasts and, yet again, Shannon’s sweet niece being far too adorable to handle. It was simply a dream day, of which Shannon and Ray are so deserving.

Congrats you two! From the little details to running through fields at sunset to dancing until I died at your reception, documenting your day was a whimsical joy for me!
