Laguna Gloria Engagement Session

Ohhhh boy this one is a big one for me. Today I’m sharing images of my dearest friend, Hilliary! Hilliary and I met our freshman year at Baylor University. We were roommates in Collins 102 and from the very start we were kindred spirits. Sitting here writing about her Laguna Gloria engagement session in Austin is SO WILD when I also think of all the funny freshmen shenanigans we got into that year… like our friendship, we’ve come a long way from those days!

Hilliary has stood by me in seasons of draught and delight. She’s been a constant source of perspective, laughter, wisdom, and a voice in my life that always points me back to the Lord. Her own unwavering faith and devotion to God is something I can hardly fathom, and to see her walk in a season she’s waited and prayed for so fervently brings tears to my eyes. This friend of mine is so deserving of this special time of celebration, all the joy, all the fun, all the love (and, all the pictures)! (And can I also just say – how beautiful does she look in this Anthro dress?!)

Sooo who might this mystery man be she’s waited so long for? World, meet Derek. Derek is hilarious. He is quite literally the easiest human to have a conversation with. He seems to be an expert on almost any subject (how is this possible)? This guy is the best hang. Derek loves food and cooking. He has the best laugh (And if you know Hil, so does she. So them together — just constant laughter.) But not surprising, what I love most about Derek is how much he loves Hilliary. As a protective best friend, what I wanted most for Hil is someone who would cherish her the way I do. And I know God has brought this to her in the form of Derek. He is a lovely man, inside and out, and the cherry on top? They’re just dang cute together!

Hil and Derek, I’m beyond happy for you my friends. Cannot wait to celebrate you both in October!
