Maroon, mauve, marvelous florals for days! This Camp Lucy Ian’s Chapel wedding was such a dream day for this sweet couple.
I am so excited to share this gorgeous Camp Lucy Ian’s Chapel wedding on the blog today. Sarah and Zach planned such a beautiful day to celebrate their union with family and friends. Two things must be said about them. One, they are so fun. They’re just one of those fun loving, easy going couples you want to be around! Two, they are dang good sports. It was cold on their wedding day. And with all of the photos and the ceremony happening outside, they were total champs with the low hill country temps at Camp Lucy.
One of the things that stands out about this day are the florals. These florals were so lush and came in every shade of red, maroon, mauve, and pink. RL Design HTX came in from Houston for Sarah and they did a fantastic job creating the florals of her dreams. The deep colors really contributed in making this chilly wedding day feel cozy and comfortable in the grand hall at Camp Lucy.
Sarah and Zach’s wedding planner, Sarah of Crown and Ash, also did a fantastic job facilitating the day and ensuring everything went according to our lovely bride’s vision. Hiring a planner is so important. They are able to not only help you craft the day of your dreams, but also ensure that on the day of you or your family members or loved ones are able to actually enjoy the day and not run it or put out the inevitable fires that pop up when you’re hosting an event for a large number of people. And under Sarah’s watchful eye this day was a breeze and Sarah and Zach were able to spend each minute enjoying the moment with friend and family.
There are a few moments that stand out for me from this day. When Sarah was getting dressed, her flower girl came and gave her the most sincere, gently hug and it was all I could do not to cry along with Sarah at the sweetness! I also cherish the memory of their first look together as bride and groom. Sarah and Zach were so relaxed on the day, but after seeing each other, they became even more so! They were both just smiling so big and so happy and excited to see each other. I also really love the memory and photos of their first dance! They definitely catered to the crowds and Zach showed off his moves. Truly the entire day was such a joy for me and I have so much love for this sweet – now married – couple!
This day was such a joy to document – congrats Sarah and Zach!
