South Congress Engagement Session

When Alyssa and Mason wrote that they wanted do so something a little unique and not just the “norm” with their South Congress Austin engagement session, I knew this was going to be a fun one! Even without shaking things up a little bit, this would have been fun because that’s what Mason and Alyssa are: pure FUN. They are SO easy going and delightful to be around. They roll with literally whatever which is exactly the kind of vibe required to create fun, relaxed looking images like the ones we were able to get during their session. To keep things a little fresh, they wanted to do one outfit as a cute “leisure” look because one of the things they love to do together is go on walks and explore. So, with a bottle of champagne in tow (because why on earth not?) we traipsed around Zilker Park capturing what a laid-back, organic day on the trail would look like for them. Then, to spice things up a little bit, they changed into a date night vibe and we wound our way over to South Congress for some drinks and fun atmosphere.

Planning For Engagement Sessions

I absolutely LOVE it when my couples bring me fun and unique ideas for their engagement sessions like Ellen and Paul did with the idea to incorporate their love of exploring new donut shops together. Lately, but helping my couples think through what would be fun, unique, and a good representation of their relationship, I have shot engagement sessions at Laguna Gloria, on a sail boat, at McKinney Falls State Park, on a private ranch, and on a retro boat on Lady Bird Lake! Splurging on these fun and celebratory activities during engagements is so fun and makes the session even more memorable and enjoyable! For Alyssa and Mason, we achieved just the relaxed, organic day date turned into fun, up-scale dinner date out vibe we were going for and I just love how the images turned out. I can’t wait for their wedding with Ashley Nicole Events at The Hyatt Lost Pines this September!
