This Engagement Session at Lady Bird Wild Flower Center is finally on the blog today! Running a business is truly one of my favorite things, but sometimes things like blogging sessions and weddings in a timely manner just becomes impossible with the other tasks at hand! So I’m excited these two will be featured on the blog today because this session was so fun!

The soft clouds on this day made for such perfect and soft lighting. A bright pink dress would normally pose a challenge for photography (it’s called color casting, and generally I encourage clients to opt for softer hues of their favorite colors), but the muted light of the overcast day truly made the color pop in a beautiful way that didn’t color cast! As soon as I saw that dress with Katelyn’s gorgeous blonde hair I knew it was the right call!

One of the reasons I love shooting at Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center is its versatility. The structured gardens provided a picturesque setting for intimate moments, while the fields of grasses and flowers, along with the surrounding trees, offer a more whimsical backdrop for playful shots. This blend of structured and natural elements makes it a truly perfect location for any kind of session.

As we moved through the gardens, Katelyn and Mike did such a fantastic job just having fun and enjoying one another! Which is the prefect recipe for a great session. Their engagement session at Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center was not just about capturing images; it was about freezing moments of pure joy and love. I feel grateful to have been a part of this special season in Katelyn and Mike’s journey together. The images we captured at Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center will serve as timeless reminders of the love they share and the beauty that surrounds them!
