Organic Outdoor Engagement Session

I love when my couples are as outdoorsey as me and they enjoy spending time outside. Especially when their engagement falls in a warmer month in Texas, I know they’ll be able to tough it out. (And let’s be real, the “warmer” months are basically May-October now, haha.) So when Carli and Tim wanted an organic, outdoor engagement session, I knew McKinney Falls would be a great location for them. The park as so much to offer from amazing trees, to beautiful white river rocks, to the river itself. I just love shooting there, and it looks different all throughout the year!

Because we shot this during our hot season, we met in the morning and it was such a great call! The light was so soft and dreamy and the temperature remained tolerable until about 10 am. (Yes, this past summer it got hot pretttttty early unfortunately, haha.) But hot or not, Carli and Tim were pros. They had fun. Which, and I cannot stress this enough, is one of the most important factors in creating an authentic, dreamy, and happy engagement session! To have fun is to enjoy one another, to enjoy the beautiful location you’re in, and to embrace the process of creating photographs together, which ends up being a special memory created in the process!

Carli and Tim did just that. They were so delightful to photograph as they walked around the park and totally mastered the lift and spin. I mean, could those photos BE any cuter?! I’m just SO excited for their wedding in March of 2024 – it’s going to be all lovely and joy just like this session and I can hardly wait! Congrats you two!
