Art Deco Meets Italy At Villa Antonia

Mackenzie and David

About Mackenzie + David

To know Mackenzie and David is to know sunshine. They are truly the most gracious, kind, FUN couple ever. My memory this entire wedding day is Mackenzie smiling and laughing all day, and David watching her with the sweetest look on his face. She was having the time of her life, and he was having the time of his life watching her. These two are truly made for each other. They are the loveliest humans and so deserving of the beautiful celebration with family and friends at their art deco and Italian inspired Villa Antonia Austin wedding!

Speaking of, their wedding day was a dream. Mackenzie wanted to incorporate art deco design into Villa Antonia’s Italian flair, creating a fresh palette for their wedding. The weather was perfection – barely warm in the afternoon and a cool late spring evening perfect for a dreamy al fresco dinner and dancing all night long. Mackenzie and David wanted their wedding day to be a reflection of David’s Italian heritage, so there were so many fun elements to reflect that. From the stunning custom wedding invitation suite by The Inviting Pear, to the coffee bar by Creature Coffee, to the special way Mackenzie and David included a bottle of their favorite wine during their ceremony that they will open to enjoy on their one year anniversary (with notes to each other too). Truly so many special elements.

There are also so many stand out moments from this day. Mackenzie and her bridesmaids getting ready. David and his groomsmen hanging out on the balconies at Villa Antonia. The ceremony with the drop dead gorgeous floral arch by Flora Fetish. The cocktail hour and reception under bulb lights with Mark of Exodus Sound Co crooning on the mic. When Mackenzie surprised David with cigars during cocktail hour. And finally the reception where Mackenzie stunned everyone with the most amazing 1920’s inspired party dress!

Congrats M+D!

I’ll never be over this day. Every moment from styling the invitations to documenting Mackenzie getting dressed to all the portraits and all the way through the exit I had a blast from start to finish. Creating art like this for my couples is beyond a joy for me! Congrats M+D! Thank you for having me and so excited to share your day on the blog!
