Autumn Engagement Session at Pedernales Falls | Austin Wedding Photographer

I have all heart eyes for this glowing autumn engagement session at Pedernales Falls outside Austin! I love shooting there any time of year, but this evening was especially perfect. We had so much fun!

Erica and Austin are so great. And we met in such a fun way: through my dad! They were ring shopping at Calvin’s Jewelry, where my family has shopped for the special, monumentous gifts for years (my wedding rings are from there!), when they ran into my dad who was browsing for something to give to my mom for their 35th anniversary. He gave them my information, they reached out, and not soon after we were meeting in person for their engagement session! How happy is that?

What’s funny is we have so much in common. They love wine (and are getting married at a winery!) as do I, Austin listened to Shane and Shane growing up (if you know you know) as did I, and when Erica told me she had selected a blush dress to wear for the session I knew we were kindred spirits (and we totally are)! I drove home, smiling all the way, thanking God for connecting me to them in the sweetest way. I also drove home beyond eager to dig into their photos because goodness they are cute together!

From the first frame of Erica and Austin dancing in the sand to the last with just a little haze from an autumn setting sun, I’m just so in love with this dreamy, organic engagement session. Nights like this never get old, especially with couples like Erica and Austin, and I can’t wait to celebrate them at their wedding in March!
