This day was book-ended with the prettiest pinks. It all began with whispering rosé colored details and ended with a barely blush big Texas country sunset, which always makes me feel like God is hugging me. I instantly feel at home anywhere there’s a pretty sunset, even though I’m quite the home-body and being away from home is actually super hard for me. There’s just something really everlasting about a slow pink sunset that makes me feel safe, and Kaci and Henry really were blessed with the prettiest sunny wedding day, ending in the loveliest Texas sunset.

The charm of Kaci and Henry is that they immediately feel like old friends. There’s not really a barrier you have to break through when you meet them, which made spending this entire sunny day with them such a pleasure. Actually, their entire group of friends and family members are some of the most kind, inviting people I’ve had the joy of meeting on a wedding day. Everyone made a point to make me feel so welcomed, which meant so much. I’ve truly never had such a delightful time working with the family or bridal party, and I feel so lucky to have met and gotten to know all of the important people in Kaci and Henry’s life.

This whole day was just very dear. Kaci’s father started to tear up even as I explained the father-daughter first look to him, and their father-daughter dance was the sweetest, most precious thing I’ve witnessed in a long time. He loves her so much!! I also couldn’t get enough of Kaci’s flower girls, who were so thrilled with their pretty dresses that they couldn’t stop spinning around all day. I just love when little girls feel pretty. It’s so endearing to witness. We all just want to spin around in lovely dresses, don’t we? Something else really special about Kaci and Henry’s day is that they planned their ceremony early enough in the day to take advantage of not one but two opportunities to step away together, enjoy a few moments alone, and get some really pretty photos together, once after the ceremony and once about an hour into their reception. I always recommend scheduling the ceremony at a time that will enable you to take portraits during golden hour, and Kaci and Henry opting for this option yielded some of the dreamiest sunset portraits I’ve gotten to shoot in a while!

Kaci and Henry, thank you so much for inviting me to be part of your day and document all of your special moments. Y’all are the kindest, most thoughtful couple and I’m really lucky to know y’all!!
