This black tie winter wedding is absolutely stunning. I love the vision Rachel and Peter had for their wedding day. It was so unique and very reflective of them as a couple, which made it that much more of a pleasure to witness! Their crisp, classy black details were sprinkled with lush winter greens and mauves which really made their style pop out in a really, really beautiful way. Set that against the backdrop of Christ Bible Church and we’ve got the makings of a one of a kind black tie winter wedding.

I do have to back up though and share with you just how much I love and respect this family. I had the honor and privilege of photographing Rachel’s sister’s wedding (Katie + Andrew) in June of last year. So when Rachel reached out to me because she and Peter got engaged last year, I about died of delight. It really means a lot to me to get to work with one family multiple times, so this wedding was very special!

But even if I didn’t have a prior relationship with this amazing family, I would still be so enamored with Rachel and Peter. They are simply the kindest hearts. Their intention for their wedding was to glorify Jesus with every moment, and they expressed that to me very early on. Actually, during their reception I shared how sad I was to no longer exchange such frequent emails with them because even over email their interactions are so intentional and enjoyable. Every time I opened an email from Peter I was smiling. Don’t you want to be that kind of person too? These are just lovely people and lovely families. Actually after Rachel and Peter left I pulled aside her parents and just thanked them for allowing me to spend so much time with their families. If Kenton and I have girls anything like Katie and Rachel one day, we’ll be beyond blessed! Also – this is something I really just died at. After Rachel’s first look with her dad, their whole family shared a group hug. What’s just so touching is that I basically took that same photo 7 months ago at Katie and Andrew’s wedding, because they did the same thing on that wedding day, too. UGH. How sweet is that?!

From how much I admire this couple, to how much I love this family, to how stunning the day was, I just feel very grateful to be sharing their blog post today! Rachel and Peter, you are two of the absolute best and it makes my heart burst to celebrate y’all’s beautiful marriage with your blog post today!! Congrats!!
