I’m not even sure where to begin with this one!! Maybe, to get the full story, you can check out this post about Jenny and this post about Riley and James’ engagement session. I feel like I go way back with each of my couples because of how much time we spend getting to know one another (which is super important to me!), but my relationship with Riley and James had a really special beginning because of Jenny. You really should go read the other posts to get the full story! It’ll leave your heart feeling warm and happy and super encouraged.

So now that you’ve got the full backstory, you know just how much of an honor and joy it was for me to get to be there for Riley and James’ wedding day at the Gin at Hidalgo Falls! Not only because of our unique backstory, but also because they are the truly most amazing couple. Oh my gosh, I just love them so much. They are two of the dearest hearts. Riley loves memories. She cherishes them. She thoughtfully decorates everything in her life (from her home to her social media accounts to her wedding day) with words and photos and items that hold great value to her. She had thought through every moment of the wedding day to ensure that it could be as special as possible, which really blew me away. There were custom gifts for each of their bridal party members, she brought the veil her mom wore in her wedding to take photos with while she got dressed (cue the tears), and they even picked their ceremony time to make the most of their evening with all of their friends and guests before sunset, which allowed for some seriously dreamy golden hour portraits!!!

From details to getting ready to Riley’s first look with her dad, to James’ groom portraits (that are suuuuuper slick, uhh James are you a model?), to their mystical windswept ceremony to their smokey (scroll to see what I mean!) and sweet first dance to the CUPCAKE CAMPER (uhhh are you kidding me?!) to the HAPPIEST lavender toss exit photos, their blog post is bursting with pretty!! And I’m sooooo excited to share it! This day couldn’t be more true to who Riley and James are as a couple, so I’m really thrilled for you to get to know their sweet hearts as you look through the photos of their day. By the end of it I think you’ll be just as in love with them as I am!

Congrats to you, Riley and James. Y’all are so dear to me, and I’m beyond grateful to know you and have gotten to be your wedding photographer! Cheers to your first few weeks of marriage and many more!!
