Recently, our house had some work done that required us to stay elsewhere for a few days. We (yes the whole Boone clan: bunny, Boo, and all) ended up staying at Cavalry Court in College Station, so it actually felt like a mini mid-week vacay!

Just to prove that Howie did indeed come, here’s a photo of him enjoying his little corner of our room. And yes! The hotel knew we brought Howie and they were super great about it. 🙂

Also, I love pink, and when I saw my make up bag with these matching goodies spilled on the counter top I had to snap a pic. That blush legit smells like peaches, and that mascara legit is the best I’ve ever used.  The day we arrived, we were able to check in early and spend time reading (alone!) by the pool, I went on a walk with Boo while K took a nap, then we spent more time by the pool enjoying one of the more perfect weather days of 2019 thus far. That evening we walked around Century Square and ended up eating Hopdoddy’s on the green while playing in a “The Office” themed trivia night, and I’m proud to say we got third place.

The next evening, Friday, was way less “cool,” but very us. I had a shoot, and when I got back, K surprised me with a tripod for us to take some quick family photos before sunset. That is my love language. He really knows the way to make me happy. 🙂 Then we walked to Chipotle down the street to grab some grub, and ate our burrito and burrito bowl on the porch with a couple of Lone Stars. That was really sweet. We talked about life and how grateful we were for each other and all that we’ve been given. We mused at how perfect Texas spring is (yay, it’s finally here) and how God is so good to make wildflowers. We reminisced over where we’ve been the past few months, and where we think God may be taking us in the future. We heard the live music in the square just down the way.. but decided to go inside our room, sit on the bed, and play Super Nintendo (K got it for me as a surprise!) and were asleep by 10 pm. It was the most heart-full two days we’ve had in a while and I’m so so grateful!!
