In this crazy time of our lives, I can’t tell you how happy it feels to hit publish on this blog post about Lucas and Cheyenne, because if ever there was a bright spot in my life, it’s them!

From the dusty blue vibes all day long, to the PERFECT Texas spring day, to the unique ranch setting, to Cheyenne’s ridiculously gorgeous blue eyes, this entire day was perfect. The moment Cheyenne greeted me I was instantly reminded of just how much I love these two. She is quite literally a beacon of joy, and Lucas is probably one of the kindest grooms I’ve had the pleasure to work with. All day long they were completely relaxed and in the moment, all the while very much desiring to make everyone around them happy and comfortable. They are fun and goofy and I think you’ll see some of that in their portraits!

Cheyenne had a big desire to have first looks with three groups of people who are very important to her: her mom, her dad, and her bridesmaids. Even when the ceremony start time loomed in the near future, I knew how important those moments were for her, so we got super creative to find secluded spots for her to have special moments with her people before the ceremony. And wow am I so happy I fought hard for that!! Those are some of my favorite moments of the day, especially the reaction of her bridesmaids! Getting to witness Cheyenne hugging her mom and dad on her wedding day was such a gift to me. But if we’re talking other favorite moments, you know the shots of the bridesmaids with their pupper (like, omg) and that WHITE HORSE during golden hour are on the TOP of my favorites list!

Cheyenne and Lucas – thank you so much for inviting me to be part of your day. Y’all are happy and kind and fun and silly and down to earth and you threw the BEST party! It was truly a JOY to be there and celebrate with you and I’m SO excited to share your blog with you today!! Enjoy!
