South Congress Engagement Session

Ellen + Paul

I couldn’t be more excited to share Ellen and Paul’s Zilker Park and South Congress engagement session today on the blog today! When we got this date on the calendar, I eagerly looked forward to it. For one, it was so refreshing to shoot in spring flowers after the crazy winter we just experienced here in Austin. But two, I knew Ellen and Paul would be so easy going and natural for their session and it would be such a delight to wander around Zilker Park with them.

South Congress Engagements

As we began planning for their session, Ellen mentioned that something she and Paul love to do together is try new donut shops. How cute is that? So I knew immediately we had to find one and incorporate that into their session. Luckily, The Salty Donut on South Congress was just a short drive from where we wanted to shoot at Zilker Park to get some greenery and city skyline photos – it was perfect! So after dancing in flowers in Zilker Park, we made our way to Congress and indulged in donuts and that fantastic mural! I love talking to my couples and discovering what they love to do for fun together, and whenever possible, incorporating that into their session. That’s what we did for Jaclyn and Carson’s engagement session, too. They love the beach, so we shot at a location in Austin to get some dreamy beach vibes!

If this session is any foreshadowing into Ellen and Paul’s wedding this December at The Arlo with Mockingbird Lane, it’s going to be quite the joy-filled, elegant, and fun day! And I can’t wait. Congrats Ellen and Paul!
