It’s probably time I dedicated an entire blog post to this little white chocolate monster who has stolen our hearts and a place on our bed every single night. If you haven’t met Davy — well, you’d know. Because when you do meet him the impression is lasting. Davy LOVES ALL THE PEOPLE. The most embarrassing part of both our dogs is how they meet people. They literally lose their minds. It is so far beyond our pay grade in terms of managing behavior, haha. Once they get to say hi they calm down and show off why we love them so much, but yes, if you’d met Davy in person you’d certainly remember!
Davy will be two later this month (ah!) and he’s all puppy still. He is happy literally 100% of the time. We call Bowie our more introspective, thoughtful doggo. Dave is quite the opposite. There’s just not much internal conversation with him. I think if dogs can relate to the Enneagram – he’s a 7 for sure. He does not like getting in trouble, he does not like or challenge the word no, and he will wag his tail one second after any kind of discipline. He likes things to be all happy all time. He also likes to be all physical contact all the time. I’m sitting at my desk reading my bible — his nose touches my back. I’m sitting at my desk working — his head is on my feet (or he’s sitting next to me, staring at me, his paw in my lap). I’m on the couch — he’s on me. This dog loves. his. people.Â
Davy is an F1b Golden Doodle just like Boo. They’re four years apart and we’re so glad we got a buddy to keep Boo on his toes! Which Davy does impeccably. Both Bowie and Davy got lighter as they aged, which is why I have termed his coloring white chocolate. His face especially has bleached out into a caramel cream color lately.
Random things about Davy:
-When he goes into the backyard, he barks. Not at anything particular, he just barks. When Bowie barks, I always, 100% of the time, know there is a very solid reason. With Davy, I always, 100% of the time, know it’s because he is being a derp.
-He was *literally* the cutest puppy ever. Except for maybe Bowie. And his transition from puppy to adult(ish) dog has been so fun to watch.
-He is weird.
-Sometimes his pigeon-toed, lol.
-He is an absolute sugar and we are so grateful he’s part of our family!
