I have been dying to share this colorful summer wedding at Deep in the Heart Farms (one of my new favorite venues!) for months and have finally been able to sit down and give this day it’s due! Carly and Ryan’s perfect wedding day began with all smiles when first thing I was greeted by Carly’s sweet mama, Janet, with whom I’d gotten to spend a lot of happy time at Carly’s boho bridal session in the spring. You know that it’s going to be a beautiful day when first thing you’re treated like family!
I walked upstairs to Carly’s bridal sweet and was greeted with yet another huge smile. Carly is the type of heart you just instantly feel endeared to. She is joyful and kind and warm. She and Ryan are the kind of couple you’d like to be next door neighbors with, something that I have literally told Carly in hopes they’ll move to Dripping Springs and live next to me!
Carly’s getting ready photos with her mom are some of my favorite moments of the day–which is hard to say because this wedding day was absolutely stunning. Missy at Moose Feathers Florist always outdoes herself. This is not my first time working with her and each time I see her name on the vendor list I am so thrilled! Carly’s blush and coral bouquets were just the pop of happy we needed back in June, and they looked so beautiful with Carly’s barely blush boho gown from BHLDN. Can I also give Carly’s veil a moment? Because goodness, a veil of any length, but especially cathedral length veils, add so much romance and movement to images. I can’t recommend them enough, and something really special about Carly’s veil is that this was not it’s first time to be worn in a wedding. She and her bridesmaids are passing it through their friend group for each of their weddings, and secretly I’m hoping I’ll get to shoot that same veil again for another wedding day and another precious couple!
From getting ready, to hanging with Ryan and his hilarious friends for groomsmen photos, to all of the transitional moments that you know I love (and document heartily), to their very sweet ceremony, this day is one of my new favorites! Even their exit was colorful and unique, as they opted for giant glow sticks which look really fun in the images. And before I finish this post with some gushing about Carly and Ryan (get ready, you two) I do have to stop and mention THE CAKE. Never in my life have I loved a wedding cake so much, and when you scroll down to that portion of the day you are sure to be surprised with the most precious, delicious looking wedding cake you’ve ever seen. It fit in with Carly and Ryan’s happy, summery wedding so perfectly!
Okay, now to finish and gush: Carly and Ryan, I’m so happy for you guys. I’m so grateful I was your wedding photographer. Getting to know you two was so fun and enjoyable, and you are quite literally two of the kindest people I know! Thank you for inviting me to be part of your day–I’ll forever be remembering it through your photos, which I will never grow tired of sharing!! Congrats you two!
