Myyyy oh my this wedding! This couple! This day!! I’m not sure I have 3 words more perfect for this blog post than my three favorite descriptors: dreamy, joyful and organic!!! The colors, the light, this sweet couple so in love – ugh this wedding day is just so lovely I can’t stand it.
I have to start with Tasha and John. I love these two so much. This is a couple who was more excited for and focused on being married to each other than anything else on this day. Tasha was so grounded all day long. She was so full of peace and she was so herself. That might sound weird to say, but I think it’s so telling when, on the biggest day of your life, you’re able to be wholly and totally you! She wasn’t phased by stress or distractions. She was so present and so kind to her friends all around her and so, so excited to marry John. Also, this girl is stunnnnning, y’all. I mean, drop dead gorgeous. This might sound funny, but I’ve never seen anyone make putting on shoes look thattttt goooood. John’s a lucky fella! And, speaking of, John is absolutely one of the kindest, most fun guys around! He goes with the flow, he helps people, he’s himself. Actually, I remember about 30 minutes before the ceremony I saw John walk towards the guy’s area to sit down and have a moment to himself before the wedding. On the way a young guest asked him to pass a basketball that was laying on the ground a little out of John’s way. He was like, “Sure, man!” and passed him the ball so he could shoot some hoops behind the guy’s house! I thought that was such a testament to John’s character! On his wedding day, 30 minutes before “I Do,” he was so kind to others and willing to go out of his way to make their day more fun.
And this day was fun! It was SO fun for me to shoot (uhhhhh yeah, I am still just drooling over all of Tasha’s details and her blush wedding dress!!!) and it was just so fun to be a part of! These two are surrounded my the sweetest people who really love them and wanted to make their day special. When you get to the reception photos you’ll see some hilarious traditions (that I’ve never seen before!) that had all of us dying laughing and made Tasha and John’s day end on such a fun note! From the loveliest blush details to really sweet first looks to the dreamiest sunset portrait session (Pattison House, I love you and your perfect white porch and big beautiful oaks!), I’m just so grateful that I got to be part of this day when Tasha and John jumped into the best adventure of their lives! Congrats y’all!! Welcome to MARRIAGE!! It’s the best and so are you guys. 🙂
