When the engagement session starts with a wild bunny, rows and rows of blush colored Crepe Myrtles, and ridiculous spiderweb lighting streaking across the sky, you KNOW it’s going to end in a rainbow… which it did. BOY IF THIS WASN’T THE BEST. Jessica and Ron are my people!!!!!! Gah they are so fun. And I am HERE for the rows and rows of pink Crepe Myrtles, my gosh. That is a dream. And while we were definitely under threat of being poured on all evening (or getting struck by lighting, lol) we seriously had the best time at this sweet summer engagement session at McGovern Centennial Gardens and Rice University.

If you can just picture it, hanging out with Ron and Jessica feels like enjoying a popsicle on the back porch on a breezy summer night under bulb lights with the good-feeling, good-time melodies of Doobie Brothers floating overhead. I mean, how’d I get so lucky? Not to mention that they’re currently doing the long distance thing and the fact that they spent one of their precious evenings together with me just makes me feel good. By the way, can’t we all relate to the wistfulness of those long distance engagement/dating seasons? Kenton and I had a few of those and they were never fun, but they did end up growing our relationship in cool ways. I really can’t imagine these two getting cooler than they already are, but I’m sure by the time I get to see them again at their wedding in December I’ll love them even more. I mean these guys are just SUNSHINE. And I’m so in love with their sweet summer engagement session at McGovern Centennial Gardens and Rice University!
