Oh my goodness this Texas countryside spring wedding!!! The Barn at Hickory Creek in Crockett, Texas, used to be a legitimate working barn until the owners renovated the space into a really lovely wedding venue replete with crystal chandeliers and white flowing drapery. As such, Reagan and Bradley felt right at home, because these two are some of the most wonderful, down-to-earth cute Texas loving couples I’ve met. Everything about their wedding day was so unique and so them. I about died when I saw the succulents in the boutonnieres and the bouquets (I collect succulents and love potting and repotting them on my patio – that’s actually one of my favorite hobbies!), and I’ve never seen such cool, completely one of a kind bridal earrings. I’m a big fan of turquoise (I often wear a little turquoise band with my wedding rings) so when I saw Reagan’s array of wedding bands I was so excited (and inspired to get some more turquoise for my left hand!! Hint hint, Kenton).

But beautiful details and decor aside, I just can’t speak highly enough of Reagan and Bradley. May 18th turned out to be one of those Texas spring days when the weather swings from sunny to stormy in one minute, and then back again. All the while, both Reagan and Bradley were completely relaxed and not even phased by the weather (or how it altered their outdoor wedding ceremony plans). If you had just been watching this couple all day, you really wouldn’t even know that the day started with intense downpour and ended with constant strobing heat lightning (which actually made for some really cool open-door reception vibes). Some things you really just can’t control, and weather is one of them, but Reagan and Bradley were prepared for come what may, and their team of talented vendors and caring friends and family helped navigate the last minute changes smoothly and with time to spare. And not only that, but Reagan was so completely sunken into every moment of the day. I mean, she was just so keenly aware of the people around her and was quick to give love to everyone. From having little side conversations with each of her bridesmaids to hugging on her daughter Paisleigh to laughing with glee during family photos when she saw her grandfather peering around the big barn door to taking time during her reception because she wanted to tell me about her relationships with some of her friends there, I was just so touched by her presence all day.

I just love love love this couple. And now Reagan and Bradley are finally the family they’ve been preparing for for so long! I feel so honored to have gotten to be there for your wedding day you guys – y’all are such a blast!! Congrats on the wedding and here’s to years and years of the Lovelady Family!!
