Oh where do I even begin with Kailin and Matthew? First of all, Matthew has the happiest smile of anyone EVER. Second of all, Kailin has the kindest heart of anyone EVER. From the first time we met, I knew I would enjoy every minute of my time working with them. They just exude joy. From their sunny engagement session to Kailin’s small town bridal session and finally to their wedding day, I’ve loved every second of this process with them! And, not to mention their wedding was my last of 2018, and it was the BEST way to finish off my first full calendar year as a full time wedding photographer! Seriously, their wedding day was like the cherry on top of an ice-cream sundae. It was the best day!
Kailin and Matthew picked Balmorhea Events Center in Magnolia as their venue, which ended up being a great choice for multiple reasons. Not only is it a gorgeous venue with lots of pretty outdoor spots for portraits, but it also has tons of porches, which we made great use of on their wedding day!
So it definitely rained all day, but it was lovely! One, both Kailin and Matthew were so cool with it and just beyond excited about getting married regardless the precipitation, and two, it added such fun twists to the photos. I love these shots of the girls walking from the bridal suite to a covered porch for bridal party photos. And Kailin and Matthew’s portraits later in the day turned out so dreamy with fun umbrella shots and the tiny raindrops in the photos.
Kailin’s prayer with her mom, grandmother, and bridesmaids was *super* sweet. She had quiet tears rolling down her cheeks the whole time, and after “amen” her precious friends were quick to dap them away from her.
Kailin and Matthew, I LOVED getting to be your wedding photographer. And I have no clue why, but for whatever reason I made all sorts of weird faces at your reception that my super sweet husband was so thoughtful to capture, haha. So please also enjoy these BTS photos of me being weird. Thank you for picking me as your photographer despite the bizarre faces I may or may not make completely unintentionally! 🙂
